Wall Street

Wall Street area is the most beautiful and popular area of this city. What makes it different from other areas of New York City is its rich history and magnificent architecture. The most impressive buildings in this area include:

It is even more thrilling to see this building at night because this tower lights at night and colors of lights are set according to different important events like Christmas and 4th of July.

Statue of Liberty

Statue of Liberty is the landmark attraction of New York City. Boat tours are arranged to access Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. The best part during a visit to this attraction is that visitors can also climb to the top of Statue’s Crown. The view from top is quite breathtaking. You can see Manhattan downtown and New York harbor from top of this statue. You can even view Statue of Liberty without going inside it from Battery Park promenade or also from Staten Island Ferry.

Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge is 5989 meters long and connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. It is not only a tourist attraction but an architectural wonder also. It provides opportunity to see beautiful views of Governor’s Island, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge Park. This bridge was opened in 1883 and since then, it has been attracting a large number of tourists who love walking across it.

Chinatown

This place is dotted with seafood markets, eateries and specialty shops. If you are shopping freak, you will find Chinatown one of the best places in New York. Chinatown is the best place to buy souvenirs as a memory of your visit. Here you will not only fine less-priced shirts but also fake Rolex watches and Gucci bags. Most of the tourists, however, visit Chinatown for food. Here you will find a large assortment of Chinese cuisine. Malaysian and Vietnamese food is also available here because some of the population here belongs to Malaysia and Vietnam.

Places of Attraction in Brooklyn, New York

Most of people think that Manhattan is the most important place to visit in New York. No doubt, it has fabulous attractions but Brooklyn has its own uniqueness and significance. Brooklyn is not as popular as Manhattan but still it has capability to captivate visitors. Here is a list of some places of attraction in Brooklyn which you must see.

Brooklyn Heights

You must visit Brooklyn Heights for two reasons. Firstly, it provides an incredible view of Manhattan from Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Secondly, you can also enjoy viewing brownstone mansions. Here at this place, you can also enjoy a wonderful dinning experience in The River Café which is a waterfront restaurant offering magnificent views of lower Manhattan and East River. This restaurant is located right under Brooklyn Bridge and is at a ten minute walk from Brooklyn Heights.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

This garden is in borough of Brooklyn in New York City. This 52 acre garden is located near Crown Heights, Park Slope and Prospect Heights. This huge garden has specialty gardens within it along with plant collections and Steinhardt Conservatory. Some specialty gardens in this garden include:

Cherry Trees: This garden has 200 cherry trees. First cherry trees were planted here after World War I. These trees were actually gift from Japanese government. Every year cherry blossom viewing event called Hanami is held in spring.

The Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden: It was the first Japanese garden which was created in an American public garden. This garden portraits ancient hill-and-pond style and contains a waterfall, a pond, an island and hills which are all artificially constructed.

The Canford Rose Garden: Opened in 1928, this garden has 5000 bushes and 1400 kinds of roses which include grandifloras, Hybrid tea roses, wild roses, climbers and miniature roses.

The Alice Recknagel Ireys Fragrance Garden: This garden is full of fragrant plants. Garden has been divided into four sections and each section has a different theme:

Brooklyn Bridge

If you have never walked across Brooklyn Bridge, your visit to New York remains incomplete. Brooklyn Bridge is a 5989 feet long bridge that connects Manhattan with Brooklyn. Brooklyn Bridge is not only an architectural masterpiece but also it offers breathtaking views of Downtown Manhattan, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge Park. For visitors ease, subway stops are available on each side of Brooklyn Bridge.

Prospect Park

Prospect Park is also a popular attraction in Brooklyn. This 585 acre park is a part of Brooklyn-Queens Greenway. Attractions in this park include:

Travel Guide of Boston

Boston is one of the oldest cities of United States of America and is the largest city in Massachusetts. Boston is such a city of America where you can find an opportunity to visit museums, explore history and go to well-known bars. Are you going to visit Boston for the first time? New England Aquarium

New England Aquarium is one of the most popular and prominent places in Boston. This aquarium was founded in 1969 and boasts of having more than 7000 fish, aquatic mammals including penguins. There is a centerpiece inside the aquarium which is a huge 200000 gallon Giant Ocean Tank. This tank houses a collection of sea animals like turtles, stingrays and sharks. Visitors can also get a chance to touch sea urchins and horseshoe crabs in tide pool. Other than sea animals, there are a lot more attractions to see in New England Aquarium like café and Simons IMAX Theater. This aquarium also offers whale-watching tours along with seal and walrus shows.

Boston Public Garden

Boston Public Garden, which is also known as Public Garden, is a large park that is situated in heart of Boston. This park is located along Charles Street adjacent to Boston Common. It is one of the oldest botanical garden. Best time to visit Boston Public Garden is winter when pond in this park is opened for ice skaters. During warmer seasons, pond in this park becomes a home of swans and it is a site of Swan Boats which is a major attraction in Boston. Tourists can sit on boat adorned with a swan on back side after paying a nominal amount.  

Here in this park, you will find a large variety of native and introduced trees including weeping willows, American and European elms, dawn redwoods, ginkgo trees and California redwood. There are also some permanent plantings in this park including a wide range of roses and flowering shrubs.

Franklin Park Zoo

Franklin Park Zoo was founded in 1911. This huge metropolitan zoo covers an area of 72 acres. The zoo is located in northeast part of Franklin Park and offers to see a large collection of animals including leopards, hippos, gorillas and birds. Some of the attractions of this park include:

The Tropical Forest: A 3 acre building that shows natural environment of animals with fences, barriers, streams and free-flying birds. Here you will find pottos, hedgehog, bats, gorillas, hippos, vulture, crocodiles etc.

Giraffe Savannah: It is a large area having three Masai Giraffes.

The Children’s Zoo: An area that has ducks, Prairie dogs, Amur Leopards.

Boston Harbor Islands

I will recommend you to enjoy ferry ride which is comfortable, relaxing and fun-filled. Here you will be provided with refreshments on board. Believe me, it would be really enjoyable.

Boston Public Library

This library was built in 1848 and was the first library having a children’s room. A visit to this library will be quite informative as you will find more than 650000 photographs, 100000 prints. You will also find 250 different newspapers in Newspaper Room. This library has been updated with modern facilities like internet, restaurant and on-line store providing reproductions of artwork.
